DN contest getting ready to launch in a couple of days. $15,000 to the first one to answer the hidden riddle.
For people who purchased before 2/6, please ensure you have the latest copy of the manuscript. I've uploaded some changes that - while not necessary to solve the riddle - will eliminate some ambiguity.
For Kindle users, the easiest way is to go to http://www.amazon.com/kindlesupport, click the "Contact Us" link, log in to your account, and use the "Chat" link at the bottom of the page. The representatives can push the updated copy to your device pretty quickly. You'll need to delete the previous copy and then redownload the updated one to your device after speaking with Amazon.
For Nook users, you can just delete the local copy of the book and then redownload it.
There won't be a charge for either platform if you've already purchased it.
You'll be able to tell if you have the latest version by checking the second to last line in the second section of Chapter 39. The old sentence read "The flame licked and danced, and produced small shadows on the surround tree trunks. The updated copy reads "The flame licked and danced, and produced small shadows on the surrounding tree trunks." (changed the spelling error on the word surrouding).
Please let me know if you have any problems.
