I've started working with a cover designer/graphics artist to bring a visual representation to Denver Nights. I was impressed with the work I saw on his website.
After mulling it over, I've also decided to have him do the interior formatting of the book. I've downloaded countless self-published books recently and the one thing that sticks out is the formatting. The breaks between paragraphs, chapters, and the fonts and special fonts, are very necessary to the "readability" of the book. And I tried converting my manuscript to an eBook on my own. It didn't look like I wanted. I need the help.
In one of my discussions with the cover designer he said something interesting. This isn't verbatim, but it went something like this...
"You've got a good shot at this. But you're not there yet. The question is...can you get through the next few months without going crazy?"
Good question...
