I had some promising leads on other jobs I thought I could land. And the ones I’d just finished were with companies that I could probably pitch some other ideas to and secure more work. The labor was consuming, time-wise, but the accomplishments were personally gratifying, and the money was good. Plus, my girlfriend Beth was constantly coming up with networking ideas, and ways to expand in the market. I’d listened to them, but because of the distractions with the book, hadn’t reacted.
I had to make a choice.
Either keep what I had in savings, keep working as a consultant, keep adding to savings, implement some of Beth’s suggestions, and put my efforts into the sensible option. The safe one.
Or instead…give the time…and the money…to Denver Nights.
